Forward Brian Fernández, known for his time with various local and foreign football clubs, is close to resuming his sports career. At 30 years old, the striker, who recently played for Coquimbo in Chile, is training with the squad of Talleres de Remedios de Escalada, a team competing in the Primera Nacional tournament and plans to add him for the second round of the championship.

Although there is still no official confirmation from the club, it has leaked that coach Martín Rolón will closely monitor Fernández's performance until the opening of the winter transfer market next month. The player himself shared a photo on Instagram with a teammate, both wearing the kit of the southern Buenos Aires club.

"The beginning of a new path!", wrote Adrián Bonachina, Fernández's representative, on his social media. The forward was trained in the youth divisions of Defensa y Justicia, then moved to Racing in 2014, where he had a valued performance initially. However, off-field problems related to his drug addiction, which led him to test positive for cocaine use twice, put him in a complicated position.

After various comings and goings between loans and transfers, he played for teams like Sarmiento de Junín, Metz in France, Necaxa in Mexico, and Portland Timbers in the United States, before returning to Argentina in 2021. Since then, he has worn the jerseys of promotion teams like Ferro, Deportivo Madryn, Colón de Santa Fe, and Almirante Brown, in addition to his brief stint with Coquimbo in Chile in recent months.
